July Important Dates and Information

Welcome to Front Royal Midget Football League fall 2022 season.  We are excited to welcome you to our football family!

July 24th - FRMFL Equipment Handout
Equipment Handout will be held at the Health and Human Services Complex where our game field is located. The equipment shed is in the lower parking lot to the right of the game field entrance gate. A parent must be present with all players or equipment will NOT be issued. While we will not be collecting a deposit this year, we will likely implement one in the 2023 season. At this time, you will only be required to sign an agreement to return the equipment and present your drivers license. Please see the specified times for your child's team below. If you are not sure which team your child is assigned to, you can log into your account at www.FRMFL.com and you will see there.

A Team (12 -13) 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
B Team (10 -11) 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
C Team (8 - 10) 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
D Team (5 - 7) 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM

July 25th @ 6:00 PM - FRMFL Mandatory Parents Meeting
A Mandatory Parents Meeting will be held at the VFW located at 1847 N. Royal Ave. A parent must be present or the player will be unable to practice until the coach meets with a parent.

July 25th - July 29th - First Week of Practice
Practice will run Monday - Thursday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM until the end of August. Practice will be held at the VFW Field located at 1847 N. Royal Ave. Your child's coach will give you more details during the first week. It is imperative that if you have any equipment issues you address them with your coach the first day of practice so that they can be resolved right away.

July 26th, 27th and 28th - Spirit Wear 
Collectively Emily by Emily Boyd will be onsite at practice with sample shirts/ tumblers/ keychains, etc. accepting orders. She will have a variety of sizes and products for you to look at. While jersey numbers will not be decided, Emily can take your order and hold the request until your child has a number if you choose to personalize it.

July 31st - Volunteer Opt Out Deadline
Our league is 100% volunteer based. While we encourage everyone to participate in fundraisers and volunteer in the concession stand we realize not everyone has that flexibility. The league offers the option to opt out of any request to volunteer or participate in fundraisers for a fee. This information is available on our website or you can speak with your coach.

General Reminders

Practice is critical in the success of child's team.  Please make every effort to have your child at practice.  If you cannot, please communicate with your child's coach as soon as possible.  All players are required to have participate in mandatory set number of no contact practice sessions.  If your child misses the first week, they will be required to complete the no contact sessions upon their return before being allowed to participate in padded contact. 

We will send out monthly emails with important dates and reminders for everyone, please make sure you are frequently checking your inbox.  Any event/ practice cancellations or changes will be communicated via email as well on our Facebook page "Front Royal Midget Football League".  

Game Schedules will not be ready until approximately 1 to 2 weeks prior to the first game.  We will distribute them the moment they are available.  Tentatively, opening weekend for games should be August 27th. 

Jerseys and game socks will be distributed approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the first game.
